DAISY

Today I am cleaning windows, repairing torn screens, picking up tattered pieces of toys and bits of bouncy balls from the yard, washing the car, putting the metal scroll work back on the back door, cleaning muddy paw prints from the side of the house and collecting assorted things brought from who knows where in case the owner should come looking for them. I hope that they don't mind a few teeth marks.

Daisy's seven month tirade of mischief is over because she was killed yesterday, hit by a car.

I feel bad to be cleaning up her "messes" today, it feels almost as if it will erase her from our lives once and for all. Maybe I will leave the paw prints for another day. We miss you Daisy.
